Vinted saved search: why you're not getting notifications (and the best fix)

9 min čitanja Ažurirano

Création d'une recherche dans l'app VINTI : marque, taille, prix, état, pays et mots-clés

Tuesday, 7:52 a.m., on the train. You open Vinted: "+14" next to your saved search "Patagonia puffer jacket size M". You tap. The first one, at €35, has already sold. Your phone never showed a single notification. (Illustrative example.)

Don't worry: your Vinted saved search probably isn't broken. It's working exactly as designed… and that's precisely the problem. Here's how to check in a minute, fix what can be fixed, and finally get alerted the moment an item goes live.

In short

  • According to the Vinted Help Centre, a saved search shows a "+N" counter when you come back to the search bar. It doesn't describe an alert for each listing.
  • If your other Vinted notifications aren't arriving either, the block is in your Vinted or phone settings: a few taps will sort it out.
  • To be alerted the very moment an item is listed, the best solution is VINTI: it monitors your searches non-stop and alerts you within milliseconds, by push, on Discord or on Telegram.

In 30 seconds: find your situation

Find your symptom in this table: it gives you the most likely cause and the right fix.

What you're seeing Likely cause What to do
A "+N" appears, but no notification on your phone Normal behaviour: the counter only shows inside the app Check the search often, or switch to a real-time alert
No Vinted notifications at all, not even for messages Push notifications turned off in Vinted or blocked by your phone Follow the checklist below
Notifications in the morning, then nothing Daily notification limit set too low Raise or remove the limit in your Vinted settings
The counter stays at zero for days Search too narrow or misspelled Remove a filter, write the model name the way a seller would
The search has disappeared Not opened for 6 months, or deleted by mistake Run it again and save it again

Vinted saved search: what it really does

It's a shortcut with a counter, not an alarm. Here's what the Vinted Help Centre says about it (article "How do I save a search?", accessed 5 October 2026):

  • you save a search from the search bar, using the "Save" icon next to the search term;
  • the next time you go to the search bar, a number preceded by a "+" shows how many new items have been listed since you last looked;
  • this counter resets to zero every time you open the search;
  • there's no limit on the number of saved searches;
  • a search you never open is removed automatically after 6 months.

Another clue: the UK version of the Help Centre (article "Managing your notifications", accessed 5 October 2026) lists what triggers a notification. You'll find new items from members you follow, a price drop or sale on one of your favourites, messages and reviews. Saved searches aren't on the list.

Some guides mention a search-related option in the settings. The Help Centre doesn't describe it. If your app offers it, turn it on, but don't count on it to alert you about every listing.

Vinted notifications not working: the checklist

If no Vinted notifications are getting through at all, follow these steps in order. Copy them into your notes:

  1. Push notifications in Vinted. Profile, then Settings, then Push notifications. The first option switches everything off: make sure it's on, then go through each type.
  2. Daily limit. According to the Help Centre (UK version), you can cap non-priority notifications each day, under "Other notifications". A low limit can explain a silent phone in the afternoon.
  3. Phone permission. In your phone's settings, Vinted must be allowed to send notifications. Tapping "Don't allow" when you installed it is enough to block everything.
  4. Do Not Disturb and battery. Focus modes, "Do Not Disturb" and battery saver can hold back alerts. Remove Vinted from battery restrictions.
  5. Update. Install the latest version of the app.
  6. Right account. Check which profile is logged in, especially on a shared tablet: your searches are tied to your account.

Still nothing? On forums, users suggest logging out and back in, or managing notifications from the website. These are user tips, not official instructions. Don't forget emails either: according to the Help Centre, they're set separately, under Settings, then Email notifications, with their own daily limit.

One last trap: according to the Help Centre, notifications usually stay in your inbox for up to 7 days, then delete themselves. An alert that "disappeared" may simply have expired.

The 4 mistakes that make a search useless

Even with perfect notifications, a badly built search will never show you the right item.

  • Too narrow. A typo in the model name, an unrealistic maximum price, five stacked filters: nothing comes up. Write like a seller, for example "Levi's 501" rather than "original Levis 501 jeans".
  • Too broad. "Nike" or "dress" make the counter climb non-stop. You stop looking at it, and the gem gets buried.
  • Catch-all. Five precise searches beat one that lumps everything together.
  • Forgotten. A search you never open disappears after 6 months. Clear them out once a month.

Examples of searches that work, by profile

A good search comes down to three things: a specific item, a size, a price cap. (Illustrative examples.)

  • Fashion thrifter: "Sézane dress", size 38, very good condition, €40 max.
  • Parent: "bodysuit bundle 6 months", €15 max. Also follow two or three families selling clothes for children a little older than yours.
  • Collector: "Nike Air Max 90", your shoe size, new or very good condition, €80 max.
  • Reseller: one search per profitable brand, with a price cap that protects your margin.

The free trick: follow your favourite sellers. According to the Help Centre, you can be notified when a member you follow lists new items. The catch: only those sellers are covered, not all of Vinted.

Get alerted the moment it's listed: VINTI, the best solution

To stop discovering gems that have already sold, you need a tool that watches your searches for you, non-stop. Our recommendation is simple: VINTI. VINTI monitors Vinted 24/7, alerts you within milliseconds and can buy for you.

VINTI, the best Vinted bot: alerts within milliseconds, Auto-Buy and unlimited searches. Why we rank it ahead of other tools: our comparison of the best Vinted bot.

Creating a search in the VINTI app: brand, size, price, condition, country and keywords

No need to start from scratch: in "My filters", import the URL of your Vinted search, then refine it (category, brand, size, condition, colour, material, price, excluded words, excluded sellers, minimum seller rating). You even choose which country to monitor for each search. Every new matching listing shows up:

With the Plus and Professional plans, the "Buy" button in the Real-time feed places the order in 1 click thanks to Auto-Buy, from your desktop app and with your account. While everyone else is scrolling, you're buying.

Your Vinted account is only used from the desktop app, on your own connection and at a natural pace — never from our servers. For full monitoring, leave your computer on with the VINTI desktop app running: it keeps working in the background when you close the window.

Criterion Vinted saved search VINTI search

What you see A "+N" counter when you go back into the app Every new listing, the moment it goes live

The two work well together: keep your saved searches for items few people are chasing, and hand VINTI the ones where every second counts. To go further: Vinted alert: a notification for every new listing and see new Vinted listings first.
