What you need

• A Discord account (free), on your computer and on your phone.
• A VINTI subscription (see the plans).
• The VINTI desktop app installed on your computer (Windows or Mac), with your Vinted account linked. It is the app that monitors Vinted.

Step 1: create your Discord server and channels

If you already have a Discord server where you are an admin, skip to step 2.

1. In Discord, click the "+" in the left-hand column, then "Create My Own".
2. Choose "For me and my friends" and give the server a name, for example "My Vinted alerts".
3. Create one text channel per search theme: "sneakers", "kids", "vintage"…

Step 2: create a webhook in the channel

A webhook is an address that lets VINTI post messages in a specific channel.

1. Hover over the channel you want and click the cog icon, "Edit Channel".
2. Go to "Integrations", then "Webhooks".
3. Click "New Webhook". Give it a name, for example "VINTI".
4. Click "Copy Webhook URL".

Keep this address to yourself: anyone who knows it can post in your channel.

Step 3: paste the webhook into your VINTI search

1. Open the VINTI app and go to "My filters".
2. Create a search or edit an existing one: keywords, brand, size, condition, maximum price, country.
3. Paste the copied address into the "Discord webhook (optional)" field.
4. Save. Repeat for every search you want to receive on Discord: you can use the same webhook or a different channel for each search.

As soon as a new listing matches, VINTI posts it in the channel, as well as showing it in the Real-time feed of the VINTI app.

Step 4: set up notifications on your phone

1. Install the Discord app on your phone and log in.
2. Allow Discord notifications in your phone's settings.
3. On your server, long-press the alerts channel and set its notifications to "All Messages".
4. Check that Discord's "Do Not Disturb" mode is turned off.

Fine-tuning your searches for useful alerts

Ways to organise your channels

For a family

One channel per child ("Léa, 6", "Tom, 10") and a "home" channel for linen or decor. Invite the other parent to the server: everyone sees the alerts and can react.

For a collector

One channel per model or brand, with notifications set to "All Messages" only for the rarest pieces. The other channels can stay on "Only @mentions" so you are not disturbed all the time.

For a reseller

One channel per product category, and a separate channel for high-value searches. If you work as a team, invite your colleagues and split the channels between you.
